From the Principal's Office!Diane Mulcahy, Principal 781-581-1600 ext.303 dmulcahy@johnsonschool.org Principal’s Welcome ![]() Welcome to the Johnson School web page. I hope you will find this page helpful and easy to navigate. We are a Pre-K -6 grade school of approximately 190 students. Five years ago we incorporated the Periwinkle Preschool into the Nahant Integrated Preschool. Our school has a code of conduct whose primary goals are respect, responsibility and cooperation. Each student is encouraged to respect themselves and others. The individual differences of all our students are celebrated. We are eager to work with families to create good home-school communication. The Johnson School is a place where we nurture, develop and support the intellectual growth of all of our children. The Johnson School has a strongly dedicated and experienced staff, and active School Council, PTO and Nahant Education Foundation. Parents are an important part to our school community. We encouraged parent and community involvement as an important part of an effective school. This is an exciting and challenging time for public education. We are in the third year of a new math program, Everyday Math and we are striving to instill in each student the strategies they need to be active readers. These and other teaching and learning curriculum initiatives are of the greatest priority for all of the faculty members at our school. Our students’ academic success will always be our focus and shared goal. Please be sure to visit our various links that will explain the programs and opportunities the Johnson School offers their students. There are always many exciting events happening at our school, which you will find highlighted on the calendar. Thank you for visiting our website. Please contact me at school if you have any questions regarding our curriculum or programs.
