Hours & Drop-off

School hours
Monday through Friday, 7:55 am to 2:15 pm
Drop-off and parking
Pre-K-second graders enter the building using "Door #2", the double-ended doors at the front of the school, stop at the curb and allow children to exit the vehicle on the passenger-side of the vehicle. If older children are also passengers they may exit and enter school here as well. Parents dropping off only students in grades 3-6 will continue around the school to drop-off their passengers at the side entrance.
To keep passengers and pedestrians safe, basic courtesy rules should be followed using your directional, pulling up as far as you can in front of the building when stopping at the curb, and obeying the 10mph speed limit on school grounds.

Parent Teacher Organization
The Nahant Johnson Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is an important service and fund-raising branch of the district. It fulfills an important role in day-to-day school life. Although there is a board, every individual who attends a PTO meeting has a vote. The PTO works to serve the school and its children through a variety of events, projects, and programs throughout the school year. The PTO provides funds for the enhancement of our school programs and helps organize many special programs and celebrations.
