BIRTHDAY PARTIES
JUST BECAUSE WE CAN'T BRING IN CUPCAKES DOESN'T MEAN WE CAN'T HAVE A PARTY. IF THE CHILD HAVING A B'DAY BRINGS IN PAPER PLATES FOR EVERYONE AND A SPECIAL (NUT FREE) SNACK FOR HIM/HERSELF - ADD THE HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONG AND A PARTY IT IS. Happy times...

CORI
This is a quote from School Policy. "Any parent who has not gone
through the  CORI process MAY NOT volunteer in your classroom
for any reason."  Forms may be filled out at the office.

READING LOGS
Reading Logs will be passed out at Open House.
Please fill them out with your child and return them on Fridays.

SPELLING TESTS
On Friday I will give your child a spelling sheet out of a workbook.
As we know, there is no homework on the weekend. In the past parents have requested the list of words on Friday so that they can get a jump start if they have the time. We will have a spelling test on the following Friday.

SNACKS
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WE ARE A NUT FREE CLASSROOM.
I HAVE SEEN WONDERFUL SNACKS IN OUR ROOM SUCH AS FRUIT, VEGGIES AND YOGURT. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. GOOD, HEALTHY FOOD IS A KEY FOR LEARNING SUCCESS.

HOMEWORK
We will have homework almost everyday except Friday.
Your child has a folder marked homework that should be checked daily. He or she is responsible for passing in the homework and checking his/her name off. Your child's homework will keep you informed about the work that we are doing in school.

Your child is expected to read for at least 15 minutes every night.
